Every Friday, 32.9% of Frederick County students — that’s more than 15,000 kids 18 and under — leave school uncertain if they will have enough food to eat over the weekend. That’s 65 hours without proper nutrition and an empty belly! The food provided by Blessings in a Backpack offers a greater opportunity for these children to return to school better prepared to participate and learn. We currently serve 4,337 children in 30 local schools. See the schools we partner with.
