State-by-State Nonprofit Disclosures

Many states require nonprofits to share certain information with donors when soliciting funds. Below you will find a list of disclosures. If you do not see your state below, they do not require us to share any specific information.

ARKANSAS – Ark. Code Ann. § 4-28-412(12), (A)-(B)

“The headquarters of this organization is located at 4121 Shelbyville Rd., Louisville, KY 40207. The Arkansas address is that of a mail drop box located in the state.”

CALIFORNIA – Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17510.3(a)

Unless otherwise noted (e.g., events where you receive a benefit), all donations made to Blessings in a Backpack are 100% tax-deductible

DELAWARE – 6 Del.C. § 2595(b)

Any person soliciting a charitable contribution must disclose prior to making the solicitation the name of the charitable organization.

GEORGIA – Ga. Code Ann. § 43-17-8

  1. Upon request, we will provide a full and fair description of the charitable program for which the solicitation campaign is being carried out and, if different, a full and fair description of the programs and activities of the charitable organization on whose behalf the solicitation is being carried out; and
  2. A financial statement or summary which shall be consistent with the financial statement required to be filed with the Secretary of State.

IOWA – I.C.A. § 13C.2

Upon request, we will provide financial disclosure information concerning contributions received and disbursements for the organization’s last complete fiscal year, or, if the organization has not completed a full fiscal year, for its current fiscal year, to the person requesting the information within five days of the request.
