Donate Food

The Frederick Chapter provides backpacks of supplemental nutrition over weekends and school breaks to over 3,100+ children in 22 local schools. The children we feed are at-risk of going hungry whenever school meals are unavailable. That’s 65 hours from lunch in school on Friday to breakfast Monday morning… 65 hours without proper nutrition and an empty belly… 65 hours! Adequate nutrition helps children return to school on Monday ready to participate and learn.

We are very grateful for all food donations. The BIAB rotating menus are planned and ordered several weeks in advance. Donated food is generally not used immediately in normal cases. Because of the health emergency we are not packing bags as normal. We cannot accept food donations as they may expire before we are able to use them. We will update this page as that changes.
