The Baltimore Orioles and The Trey Mancini Foundation team up with Blessings in a Backpack to strike out hunger!
The Baltimore Orioles and The Trey Mancini Foundation hosted a Community Essentials Drive to benefit Blessings in a Backpack on Sunday, July 25, at the Orioles Park at the Camden Yards.
Orioles fans gave back to Blessings in a Backpack and the Orioles won! Coincidence? We think not! Thanks to everyone who participated, we raised over $2,500 in cash and online donations. We also collected various boxes of food and canned goods that will go towards feeding kids who are facing food insecurity.
The money will feed kids in Maryland, including our Baltimore and Frederick Chapter programs.
OUR IMPACT IN MARYLAND:
- 3,905 kids served
- 35 program locations
- 140,000 hunger-free weekends
- Over 840,000 food items distributed
- 3,700 volunteer hours
- National Chapter in Frederick County
